One Year Down… Eternity to Go!

Yesterday was our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! I can't believe we have already been married for a whole year! I feel like it was just yesterday we were getting ready for our big day, and now we have two kids! Crazy how much can change in 12 months.. haha.

The day before our anniversary we drove down to Salt Lake City and had a fun little date night out on the town. We got all dressed up and went to Rodizio's for dinner which is a Brazilian Barbecue restaurant. It was $30 each, but once you sit down the employees are walking around with different types of meat and you can have as much as you want. We ate some delicious steak and had such a fun time laughing and talking together. Braxton got us a hotel for the night and it was really nice to just get away from everything and have a romantic date night with my husband.

The next morning we spent our anniversary the best way possible! We were sealed to each other in the LDS Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. We weren't able to be sealed to each other on our wedding day, which made the experience that much more meaningful to both of us. We had all of our family and friends there and it really was an incredible day. I love Braxton so much and I'm so happy that I get to spend the rest of forever with him by my side. (Now we just need to wait until our boys are out of the hospital so we can take them to be sealed to us as well!)

All of our amazing family and friends who came out to be a part of our special day!

I was so thankful that my family was able to drive out from Michigan to be there for the sealing. I'm so lucky that even though I live far away from them I still get to see them so much.

The day after our anniversary we went to Lagoon for the day! Braxton's work paid for all their employees to go, so we had an awesome free date riding the rides and having some great times together. I haven't been to Lagoon since I was a little kid so it was so fun to have Braxton show me around. We haven't really done something fun like this since before I was pregnant so it was great to just get out of the house and let loose for a little bit.

And we finished off our anniversary by eating the top layer of our wedding cake! And it tasted pretty dang good for being in the freezer for the past year.

It's been an amazing week!
One year down… Eternity to go!
