Life in the NICU

The boys are doing great! It's crazy to think that they're already seven weeks old!
These babies have brought more joy into our lives than we ever thought was possible. They were transferred to the hospital in Logan, so our trips to see the boys have been a little easier. It's nice to be back home and I love how close they are to us now. As great as our visit's to the Logan hospital have been, I'm anxious to finally have them home with me. It's been really hard on me to be separated from my babies and every second that I'm not with them is difficult.
But we have been blessed a ton this past month and a half and have seen countless little miracles and blessings from our Heavenly Father. I'm so thankful to have such a loving merciful God who can bring me peace in times of struggle.

I could just stare at their cute little faces all day long!

I love this man so much. Our anniversary is on Friday and I can't believe how fast this past year has gone with him! I'm so lucky I get to spend the rest of my life with him.

Porter's been doing good overall. He's moved out of the incubator and is in an open crib now which is awesome! He's starting to take some of his food by mouth which is a huge step towards him getting home, but he still is struggling with the whole Suck-Swallow-Breathe thing. When he starts eating he gets so excited he forgets to breathe and then his oxygen drops. It's obvious he wants to eat, but we can't give him very much by mouth until he learns to pace himself a little better. Right now he weighs a whopping 5 lbs 13 oz and is getting bigger every day! I can't believe how much he's grown since he was born.

Our little Ollie has really been doing incredible these past few weeks! He is also in an open crib now and is doing GREAT with his feedings! He takes about four feedings a day by mouth with no problem and is starting to drink the entire bottle! I spoke with their doctor last night and he said they'd probably increase the amount he takes by mouth and hopefully he'll be out of the hospital in a couple weeks! Oliver weighs 5 lbs 8 oz now and has the chubbiest little cheeks.

Tyler & Cassie came up last week to visit us and see the boys in the hospital and we had a lot of fun with them! Cassie just got home from her mission in Peru a couple weeks ago and it's been great to have her home, we sure missed her! Porter and Oliver are lucky to have so many people who love them!

It's a good life!
