Girls Trip!

This weekend my mom came to visit me all the way from Michigan!!! I haven't seen her since the Wedding and I can't even begin to describe how much I missed her. She came out with my Aunt Christine and they decided to take me and Callie (Christine's daughter) to Time Out For Women and make a girls weekend out of it. I was just as excited to see Christine and Callie, especially since I've only seen Callie once since she's gotten home from her mission, and when the four of us get together we get a little crazy! My stomach is still sore from all the laughing I did the past few days.

We spent Friday and Saturday at Time Out For Women being spiritually uplifted and inspired by the incredible speakers and artists that we got to hear from. It taught me what I need to do to be a better person, a better wife, a better daughter, and a good mother to the two little babies I will be bringing into this world.

The rest of the weekend we spent talking, laughing, playing games, eating out, and just enjoying being together. There really is nothing stronger than the bond between a mother and daughter.
I'm so happy I brought my camera and we were able to do a quick impromptu photo shoot and get some cute pictures of the four of us!

I love this girl so much!

This picture sums up our relationship perfectly. We're always doing goofy stuff together and I've missed it!

I hope I can be half as good of a mom to my babies as my mom is to me! She is such a good example of what a good mother should be, and I look up to her so much. It was really hard to say goodbye yesterday, I didn't want the weekend to end! And I'm going to miss all three of these ladies a ton, they bring me so much happiness and I'm so thankful for the positive role models they are in my life.

It's a good life!

Wedding Weekends

This weekend I had the amazing opportunity to be a bridesmaid in Sierra's wedding! It was so fun to be a part of her special day and the entire day was absolutely beautiful. We had a super fun bachelorette party for her and I loved getting to see her and the other girls. The whole weekend was a blast and I really enjoyed having some girl time for a change!

Sierra made the most beautiful bride!

With all the love in the air, it made me really happy to be married to such an incredible man. I was just reminded of how great it is to know you get to spend the rest of your life with your best friend, and I'm so happy Sierra found the perfect guy for her!

It's a good life!

Bumpdate: 16 Weeks

16 weeks and feeling bigger than ever!

My doctor told me that since I have twins I'm going to get a lot bigger and a lot faster than women carrying only one baby. And boy was he was right! I feel like I'm walking around in a fat suit, and I'm not even to the halfway mark yet! I am loving being pregnant though, and I'm always dreaming about little babies. Braxton has been so sweet with me and I really don't know what I would do without him. I can't wait to see him as a dad.

And here's a little update on the pregnancy:

Cravings - The weirdest craving I've had so far has been pickles and frosting. (not together, one right after the other) I was just dying for some pickles so I sent Braxton to the store and when he came back I ate the entire jar, and washed it down with a couple giant spoonfuls of frosting. Weird. I know. Other than that, pink lemonade, breakfast sausage, and hamburgers have been the big ones.

Aversions - I used to absolutely love garlic flavor on anything. Now I can't stand it. Another thing I can't handle is greasy food. We'll walk past a fast food restaurant and the smell will send my stomach churning.

Morning Sickness - Now that I'm in the second trimester my morning sickness has definitely gotten better, but I've still had quite a few rough days in the last couple weeks. I have some wonderful medicine for morning sickness that's helped a ton though.

Genders - We don't know the genders yet, and will probably have to wait until our 20 week ultrasound to find out. I'm dying to know!!

It's a good life!
