Bowties & Babies

Check out how handsome these two are in their bowties from When The Boys Sleep!
They look like such dapper dudes and Braxton and I were just dying over how cute these pictures turned out! I can't believe these handsome boys are MY KIDS.

We've been sick this past week. Which hasn't been very fun. But somehow even with all the coughing, crying, and late night puking they manage to put a smile on their face and give me some cute pictures! How lucky am I? We're on the mend now, Porter and Braxton are starting to feel better and hopefully Ollie and I will be right behind them! In the meantime, send healing vibes our way!

ALSO: I don't know if I'll get around to doing an 8 month update, but they're EIGHT MONTHS OLD! What. Even.
I'm thankful for pictures so I can capture them in these moments because I swear they get even bigger every day.
I just can't get enough of them!

It's this handsome hunk of a man's birthday today!!!
I'm so thankful for everything he's done for me this past year. He supports me and all my dreams. He constantly is uplifting me and helping me be a better version of myself. He picks up the slack with the house and babies when I just can't. And he loves me for me.
I'm so so thankful to have such a wonderful man in my life.

Cheers to year 24!

Austin + Lanae's Wedding

Austin and Lanae got married this weekend! Holy cow!
I swear he just got home from his mission like yesterday, and now he's MARRIED. But these two are seriously so. dang. cute. together and absolutely perfect for each other. I'm so happy for them, and I'm even more happy that I got to attend their wedding and be a part of their special day.

The Donovan's are basically my second family. I don't know what I'd do without them. So the face that the whole Donovan clan came out from Missouri for the wedding had me doing a little happy dance all week because I just couldn't wait to see them.

It was so fun to catch up with family. They got married in the Bountiful Temple (which might be my new favorite), and then had a lovely reception in Layton. We brought the twins to the reception and they were passed around like crazy all night! Everyone wanted to hold the babies, and they were loving all the attention. But by the end of the night they were totally exhausted!

It was such a great day, and I'm so happy for Austin for finding the love of his life!
Congrats on an eternity of happiness!

Just look at those smiles!!! I'm basically obsessed with my own children.
I hope all of you had a great weekend celebrating love!

My Photography

Photography has really taken off for me these past couple months. I've had so much fun capturing everyones special moments and I've been able to see so much improvement in myself as a photographer as well. I'm so thankful for everyone who took a chance on me when I was first starting out, and for everyone who supports me and my hectic schedule today (mainly my awesome husband who stands by me through it all). I have to say I didn't expect for my business to become this successful this quickly. I'm loving it though. I've made so many awesome friends through this industry and I love that I get a chance to express my creativity again. Don't get me wrong, being a stay at home mom is awesome, but sometimes you gotta get out of the house and do something for yourself. I've recently started shooting more weddings and I've found a passion in that. I have a soft spot for a good love story and it's so fun to play a small part in other peoples!

I'm definitely still trying to learn how to balance my work and home life. Lots of nights I stay up way too late editing pictures, and then when morning rolls around I hate myself for it. But I'm learning. I'm excited to see where this business takes me! If you'd like to follow along or check me out, you can see my work at
I'm also on social media!

Thanks so much for joining me on this wild ride!

I took the boys to the doctors yesterday for their six month checkup (even though they're already 7 months old.. I know, a little late) and they are doing AMAZING! They're growing like weeds and don't even look like preemie's anymore! The doctor said Porter is in about the 50th percentile for height and weight now for a normal 7 month old, and he's at the top of the charts for premature babies. Porter's been LOVING food lately and it definitely shows. He now weighs 18 lbs 11 oz and has got rolls on his legs for days! Ollie's a little smaller, but still doing awesome. He's in about the 15th percentile for height and weight and bigger than most babies who were born 10 weeks early as well! He weighs in at 16 lbs 1 oz (so basically three pounds smaller than Porter). We are so happy with how well they are doing!

The doctor did notice they both have a little flat spot on one side of their head, so we're going to start taking them to physical therapy for that, but other than that they are developing perfectly! The worst part was that they had to get shots. It was just me there with both of them, and the nurse wasn't very helpful in the process so as the boys both laid their screaming after getting shots it got a little overwhelming. Needless to say, I think I'll be taking Braxton with me to their next appointment.

But we survived it! I think I'm getting this whole mom-of-twins thing down now.

Love my little monkeys!
