Six Months

Six months say whaa?! I can't believe the twins have been with us for HALF A YEAR already. Where has all the time gone. I say it all the time but they really just need to stop growing so dang fast!
Porter is about two pounds bigger than Oliver. They're both in 6 months clothes and size 2 diapers right now, but Porter is approaching that area where he's almost too big for them. They are developing so well and are picking up on so much! They're both eating baby food now, and they both absolutely love it. Banana's are their favorite, but they're awesome at eating anything I give them (at least so far). They sleep through the night like champs and are seriously such good babies. They're starting to roll over, and Oliver especially has really figured out how to roll from his belly to his back. Porter will do it occasionally, but not quite as much. They're starting to talk (babble) more and more every day and Porter is doing the cutest thing where he will try and mimic us! He loves trying to blow bubbles with his mouth. They are starting to play with toys more and I think they're starting to teeth too! Oliver is definitely teething and he's been pretty miserable the past couple weeks. I can tell there's a tooth that's trying to cut through on the top but it hasn't yet and I'm hoping it will soon just so he won't be in so much pain! We love our little guys so much and are so blessed to have them. Here's hoping the next six months will go by a little slower!

Johnson Family Christmas 2015

Happy holidays! We had the best Christmas ever with my family. Oh my gosh I haven't laughed so much in a long time. I'm so happy we were able to fly out here so Braxton could be a part of the Christmas traditions that we grew up with. It's been so fun with the twins too, it's definitely true what they say about how kids make holidays more fun.

I love these awesome brothers of mine so much too. They are so fun and I've loved seeing them interact with their nephews this past week.

The awesome uncles!

Porter LOVES his grandma.

Mom and Dad bought us all matching PJ's and they are adorable! The Pajama's on Christmas Eve tradition is definitely one I'm going to continue with my kids.

We had an awesome family Christmas Eve dinner. (I forgot how amazing Mom and Dad are at cooking!) We had the fancy candle lit dinner, and then all piled into the front room for our annual Christmas Eve program. Dad read his usual story, The Night Before Christmas, Braxton played a beautiful Christmas medley he arranged himself, Connor and Trent sang "White Christmas" which was pretty hilarious, and Tyler played piano while I sang a Christmas version of hallelujah. Afterwards we acted out the nativity, and then all headed downstairs to watch The Polar Express.
One of my favorite things about Christmas Eve is that all of us kids sleepover together downstairs. We stay up super late talking, and this year was especially fun to catch up and hear about all the gossip in Connor, Trent, and Tyler's life.

We woke up Christmas morning at 6:00 am because the excitement of Christmas is too much to sleep in. My parents were way too generous and we had a blast opening presents. My favorite part about Christmas is watching everyone open the presents that I gave them. Me and the boys gave Mom and Dad a pretty awesome gift where we recreated old pictures from when we were kids and we framed all of them. It was pretty hilarious and they loved it.

It's been an amazing Christmas and I have so much to be thankful for! I'm so blessed to be surrounded by friends and loved ones this holiday season, and it's definitely going to be hard when we have to say goodbye and head back to Utah.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Fun in Michigan

It is SO FUN to be home with family right now. I am loving every second of it and the boys are just in heaven with all the attention they're getting!

My mom got Porter and Ollie these adorable onesies that say "Grandma Magnet" on them and I am totally in love with them! It's definitely a true statement, it's not very often that I see my mom without one of the boys on her hip. And you can tell the babies love her, every time my mom walks in the room they get the biggest smile on their face.

It's been so fun and it's only going to get funner!

May The Force Be With You

The new star wars movie came out so obviously we had to make a big deal about it. We declared the entire day "Star Wars Day" and spent the day listening to star wars music, wearing our star wars shirts, and geeing out about the best. movie. ever. that we were about to see. (Yes, we are total nerds)
My mom was so cute and decorated our dinner table with star wars stuff. She gave us all lightsabers, had star wars themed foods, and a star wars table setup. You could say we're a little obsessed.

The movie was amazing and it was so fun to see it at the premier because everyone was all dressed up and there was so much energy in the theatre. It was such a fun night!

May the force be with you.

The Cutest Santa Pictures You Ever Did See

So I've been going a little overboard with everything for the twins first Christmas. There's so many traditions and activities I just feel like need to be done and I want P and O to experience them all. I was really wanting some nice professional pictures of them with Santa and Fotofly in Kaysville did incredible! I heard about them on Facebook, checked out their website, and quickly realized that for a super decent price I could do a shoot of the boys with Santa with Braxton dressed up as Santa!!! Sign me up! I jumped on it so fast and called to schedule the appointment right away. When I told Braxton's mom about it she thought it was such a great idea she wanted to book an appointment for their cousin Tristan too and one for them all together. We decided this needed to be a new Christmas tradition, and taking the pictures was SO FUN. Braxton and Tristan's dad, Russell dressed up in Santa suits (with the fake belly and everything) and they were able to capture the absolute sweetest pictures of our boys! Check them out!

Every time I look at them I forget that it's actually Braxton in the Santa suit, and when I think about it I just start busting out laughing. It was such a fun little activity!

After getting the pictures taken we went back to Braxton's parents house and exchanged gifts because we would be leaving for Michigan the next day. We decided Jessica and Russell won at christmas because Russell drew a handmade picture of Porter and Oliver and framed it and it looks IDENTICAL to a picture of them Braxton took. And Jessica crocheted these adorable little Winnie the Pooh and Tigger dolls that I am just in love with for the twins. It's something they will probably keep for the rest of their lives. After gifts we made ginger bread houses, ate an unhealthy amount of ice cream, and enjoyed visiting with each other on our last night together before we left for Michigan.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm so blessed to have married in to such an incredible family.

We are loving the holidays so far!

Family Picture Sneak Peak

My incredibly talented cousin Chelsea was generous enough to drive up to Logan and take some family Christmas pictures for us and I am dying about how incredible they have turned out! I can't remember if I've mentioned this on the blog or not, but I have started up a little photography business of my own and have been super successful and busy with that! I've had at between 4-8 shoots a week and it's been really nice to be able to make some money on the side and do something I enjoy. Anyways, I'm so busy editing all of those pictures that I haven't had time to edit many of the pictures Chels took, but here's a sneak peak at them because I couldn't help posting a few!

Merry Christmas from the Foust family!!

Christmas Came Early

Another amazing weekend came our way. Sweet Mr. Owen turned one years old so naturally my cousin Chelsea had to throw the cutest birthday party I think I've ever been to. But I wouldn't expect anything less from her, she is probably the most stylish and creative person I've ever met. Total #momgoals. I still can't believe Owen is turning one because it seems like he was just born yesterday! It makes me really sad when I realize before I know it that's going to be P and O! Anyways. It was such a fun party at This Is The Place Heritage Park, and we loved seeing all of our family there too.

BONUS! Dad flew out for the weekend for work so he was able to come out a couple days early and spend some time with me and the boys. (In all honesty he was probably here mostly for the boys, but still. We were in heaven.)
Porter and Oliver absolutely LOVE him and they would just follow him with their eyes and give him the biggest smile whenever he walked in the room! And they definitely have their Pappa wrapped around their little fingers.

We are celebrating Christmas early with Braxton's parents because we are going to be in Michigan for all of Christmas break, so after Owen's party we met up with Braxton's parents for a super fun night of Christmas celebrations and activities! We walked around the Christmas Village, went out to dinner, saw the lights at Temple Square and the boys were so good for all of it. People are constantly surprised at how well behaved our babies are and I'm starting to realize just how spoiled we really are.

And I of course am going to be spoiling the two of them this Christmas and they won't remember any of it or have any idea what's going on! But holidays are just so much more fun with kids!

These two seriously need to stop growing because I am getting major mom-depression at how big they're getting. THEY'RE ALMOST SIX MONTHS. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!
Ahh. But they are such little cuties I guess I'm okay with it. Porter is 15 pounds now and Oliver is 13. Geez Louise.

It's definitely a good life!
